Who are the “RAGEDSCAPS” and what does it mean?

I doodled some of these on paper back in 2020. It was about a set of 10 female siblings with 1 little brother. Their parents apparently had a “mutation” that the mother gave birth to 10 females and all different gem types, then eventually 1 male. I gave them the names Ruby (for the red one), Amber (orange), Gold, (yellow), Emerald (green), Diamond (blue), Sapphire (indigo), Crystal, which is me (purple), Amethyst (violet), Pearl (pinkish-white), Stone (grey), and Dirt (brown). If you line up the first letter of their names, it’ll spell “RAGEDSCAPS” (minus Dirt). That’s how i got the name and used it as my username. They all have their own personalities and hobbies (i mean, obviously). This was originally supposed to be a comic series but since the day I learned to animate, I wanted to make a sort of animated series about them. Just like my human drawings, they have their own humanized version.

I was inspired by my name to make all this. Since my real name is Crystal, I just instantly thought of THIS (cuz gemstones)

Here’s an accurate list of what their personalities are like:

Ruby: I instantly saw her as a troublemaker and a rebellious person. (I have this thing for the color red, aggressiveness yk) she is very sportive and she is a very serious risk-taker. She’s like a tomboy, only she doesn’t use he/him.

Fun fact: She got expelled from school 3 times because of her violence and pulling pranks on teachers.

(The original idea was 8 expulsions but I thought it would be way to extreme)

Amber: She’s into philosophy. She has a wide imagination and is very funny too. She also wants to be a magician and/or comedian in the future. She’s a good actor too. Often an attention seeker. Loves watching movies.

Fun fact: She is a lot like Felix from 13 Cards. She has minor anger issues.

Gold: She’s very lazy, but she likes to go outside. Like Dante, she likes to eat and sleep. She also plays board/card games to pass the time because she gets easily bored. She tried yoga but quit a few hours later. She finds that even stretching is hard work. She gets the most alone time then the others.

Fun fact: She skipped school for 3 weeks in secret to sleep (not for 3 weeks straight) until the teachers found out she wasn’t coming for a long time.

Emerald: I little sassy. Is one to be all about looks, very fashionable. She says “like” all the time. Only when she’s serious, she doesn’t. She doesn’t like cleaning.

Fun fact: She’s really the only one with a diet.

Diamond: She’s the only one with an accent (slightly British) She is the first born (but their all born in the same day) so she acts like the parent when the actual parents aren’t around. They trust her the most. Very mature and strict about some things. Loves being complimented. She always wears a tie with her clothes (humanized version)

Very prideful.

Fun fact: She doesn’t smile often.

Sapphire: She’s a nerd, really. She wears glasses, as you can see. She has experience with crafting and building. Good at science and math. Reads alot. Corrects people, but hates being corrected herself. Very serious.

Fun fact: The family’s dictionary and calculator.

Crystal: She is very artistic, creative and generous. Lies alot and us very good at it (not for nothing) Into sports with rackets (ping-pong, badminton, etc.) Very fast runner. Not really good at comforting people. Loves making and reading comics

Only one with an allergy (nuts).

Fun fact: Can solve a 3×3 Rubik’s cube in approximately 1 minute.

Amethyst: Afraid of most things. Shy most of the time. Very tall (6’0) tallest in the school actually. Hates being the center of attention. Pretty smart and strategic. Stutters alot.

Fun fact: her biggest fear is agoraphobia (fear of open spaces) and cynophobia (fear of dogs)

Pearl: Cheerful, optimistic and positive. She likes jewelry and loves to listen to music. She is a great swimmer. Very loyal to everyone and has a lot of friends.

Fun fact: She doesn’t frown alot.

Stone: Most aggressive and the shares first place for the strongest either Ruby. She has a black belt in Taekwando. She wears it everywhere (humanized version) she one to break Ruby from her fights. The toughest.

Fun fact: She has a scar across her right eye, because Dirt got a hold of a shard object and scratched her eye.

And finally, the only brother, Dirt: He’s very playful and is very good at video games. He’s more of an iPad kid (the weird ones) but only late at night when he possesses a device. People don’t take him too seriously.

Fun fact: He tries to act cool but he’s really not.

“RAGEDSCAPS” is their last name. And, yeah some of them have second names.

Iolite is my gem type since “Crystal” isn’t really a gemstone.

The private school that the 10 attend is called Gem High School 18. GHS 18 for short. The students over there are also gemstones but different families.

The RAGEDSCAPS is pronounced Ragged scaps. (A hard g). People mistake it for the verb pronunciation (Rage). Just wanted to make it clear.

Their parents are rich, but I haven’t made their own characters yet. They all have their own room, but Dirt shares his room with Crystal until their parents can install a room next to the other siblings.

Now, what is the JAGG team?

The JAGG Team is a real life friend group my three other friends and I came up with in 2024 (since we were the only good English speaking students in our class). JAGG stands for Joyce (my second name, in blue), Amir (the one in orange), George (in red), and Gabriel (in green). There is no specific reason of why we chose that order other than a reasonable pronunciation

We settled that i would be the “leader” of our team, since ‘J’ is the first letter in JAGG and that I am the most level-headed of the group. The voice of reason, if you will.

Amir (I will admit) is smarter than me in terms of academics, but he is nowhere near the title of “intelligent”. He actually is the crazy, (slightly) annoying one and the most athletic out of all of us (second being myself).

George is a chill dude, but I have to say that he laughs hard easily, but that isn’t an issue. He has extremely low stamina and he likes anime as much as Gabriel (if not, more)

Speaking of Gabriel, he’s the last on our list. He’s also an animator and has his own YouTube channel. He draws in an anime style. His only issue is that he speaks quite inaudibly.
